Harlequin Jester with Mandolin Limited Edition Limoges Figurine

Strumming a mandolin, a harlequin jester performs on this porcelain figurine box. It is a limited edition piece, hand-painted in Limoges, France.

Commedia on the Shelf

Harlequin, the nimble trickster of the Italian commedia dell'arte, has entertained audiences since the 1500s. Here he plays the mandolin, turning the figure into a small musical performance. Each jester is painted by hand, so the costume colors vary slightly from one piece to the next.

Encore Gifts

This figurine makes a memorable present for a musician, a mandolin or guitar player, a theater actor or a music teacher. It also suits an opera or ballet fan, especially anyone who loves Pagliacci or the old commedia characters.

Set it on a piano, a bookshelf beside sheet music or in a curio among other performers. Because the edition was limited, it is a piece collectors tend to keep for the long run rather than rotate in and out.
