Letter Opener Rochard Limoges Box

Made for the writing desk, this Rochard box takes the letter opener as its motif. It is porcelain throughout, painted by hand in Limoges, France, and it brings a touch of old correspondence to a modern office.

Signed, Sealed and Delivered

Before email, a letter opener sat on nearly every desk, ready for the morning post. Rochard turns that familiar tool into a small porcelain box meant for display. The painted details are done individually, so no two finished pieces are exactly alike.

The Writer's Corner

This box suits a home office, a writing desk or a secretary cabinet, especially beside stationery, fountain pens and a stack of handwritten notes. It pairs well with the Rochard magnifying glass for a coordinated desk set, or with book and inkwell boxes in a study grouping.

Gifts for the Desk Bound

• A Rochard home and office design
• A fitting present for a writer, an executive or a postal worker
• Marks a promotion, a new office or a retirement after years of correspondence

Anyone who still writes thank-you notes by hand will understand this one right away. Keep stamps or paper clips inside, and it earns its place among the pens and envelopes.
