Little Mermaid of Copenhagen Rochard Limoges Box

Perched on her rock at the edge of the harbor, the Little Mermaid of Copenhagen appears here in Rochard porcelain. The mermaid and her stone are modeled and hand-painted in Limoges, France.

Waiting by the Harbor

The bronze statue in Copenhagen has drawn visitors since 1913, honoring the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. Rochard brings that famous landmark down to tabletop size, part of its fine art and world series. Every box is painted by hand, so the mermaid and her rock vary a little from piece to piece.

A Fairy Tale From Denmark

• A Rochard world landmark design
• Belongs with Denmark, Scandinavia, travel or mermaid boxes
• Pairs with Eiffel Tower, Big Ben and other landmark pieces

Souvenirs Worth Keeping

Travelers who have stood on the waterfront to see the statue often want a lasting reminder, and this box is a far finer one than a magnet. It also makes a thoughtful present for someone of Danish heritage, a Hans Christian Andersen fan or a friend headed off on a Baltic cruise.

Display it on a travel shelf beside other landmarks, or in a bathroom with seashells and sea glass, where the mermaid feels at home by the water.
