Rochard Halloween Witch Inside a Cooking Pot Limoges Box

Bubble, bubble: a witch has climbed right into her own cooking pot in this playful Rochard Halloween box. Her hat, her face and the pot are all hand-painted on porcelain in Limoges, France.

Something Brewing

Witches and their cauldrons have been part of Halloween imagery for generations, from old storybooks to modern costume parties. Rochard gives the idea a funny twist by putting the witch inside the pot instead of standing over it. Each box is painted by hand, so the colors vary a little from one witch to another.

October on the Mantel

• A Rochard Halloween design
• Belongs with Halloween, witch or autumn boxes
• Pairs with pumpkins, black cats and haunted house pieces

Trick or Treat Gifting

This box makes a fun present for a Halloween birthday, a costume party host or a friend who decorates the porch every fall. It is also a smile for anyone who calls themselves a kitchen witch. Bring it out on the first of October and set it on a mantel, an entry table or a bookcase among candles and gourds.

It offers a lighthearted break from more formal porcelain. Tuck a few pieces of wrapped candy inside, and it greets guests at the door all season long.
