Wintering Pillow Box

We designed our Pillow Box for our Wisconsin winters, it will hold 2” of dry wood shavings or other insulating material. We prefer wood shavings because it will absorb moisture. Then we added a 3/4” shim with an entrance, below the screen this will allow for feeding winter patties. This will allow you to feed without having your cover propped up allowing cold drafts to blow in on the bees
